OSCAR GUZMAN
Flamenco Guitarist

 

His career as a guitar soloist began at an international level as he toured Europe and South America. Despite his youth, he has already performed concerts in the 5 continents around the world.

In March 1999 he obtained second place in "VI Guitar Interpretation International Contest", in Cagliari (Italy).

In August 2000 he was invited to perform a guitar concert in the "V Flamenco Festival im Sommergarten des Pfefferberg" in Berlin (Germany) event for which he had the special colaboration of Pepe de Lucía.

He has collaborated in Pedro Sierra's group with whom he has performed in various theaters and events such as "XII Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla" (September 2002) and Ciclo de Flamenco "El Flamenco que Viene" (Sevilla, November 2002).

In December 2002 he participated as second guitar of acknowledged flamenco singer Ana Reverte in the 'Palau de la Musica' in Barcelona. That very same month he collaborated in four presentations at the "Spier Summer Festival" in Cape Town (South Africa) together with acknowledged flamenco singer Talegón de Córdoba.

In May 2003 he was awarded 2nd place in the "IV Concurso de Guitarra Flamenca de Alhaurin de la Torre" in Málaga (España).

Oscar Guzmán performed in Angel and Rafael Peralta's "Andalucía a Caballo" show in Málaga city and Puerto de Santa María in August 2003, and in Arles (France) in September 2003.

He usually accompanies cantaor flamenco Jesús Heredia, with whom he has shared stages such as 'Centro Cultural de la Junta de Andalucia' (Jaen) or the 'Auditorio Cultural of Mairena del Alcor', in the "Homenaje a Antonio Mairena" (Homage to Antonio Mairena).

He was finalist at the III Contest of Flamenco Guitar for Concert "Campos de Guitarra", which took place in Cordoba city in November 2003.

He has also collaborated with other flamenco groups in countries such as Morocco (July 2002), Malta (December 2003) and Poland (July 2006).

 

ANTONIO 'EL TABANCO'

Flamenco Dancer

 

Antonio 'El Tabanco' carried out studies up to the 6th course of High Level in Spanish Dance at the HIGH CONSERVATORY OF SPANISH DANCE AND DRAMATIC ART OF CORDOBA.

He has also attended several courses to perfect his Flamenco art with first dancers, among which we can find ANTONIO CANALES, EVA LA HIERBABUENA, JAVIER LATORRE, ALEJANDRO GRANADOS, JAVIER CRUZ, MANUEL BETANZOS, MERCEDES RUIZ, VICENTE FERNANDEZ, etc.

He started his dance studies at the early age of 7 in Jaen, his hometown, in Antonio Jaen's Dance Academy. There he joined the Ballet group and toured Andalucia during 4 years.

He then joined Raez Brother's company and worked there as member of the dance group and as a dance soloist for 3 years. He entered the High Conservatory of Spanish Dance and Dramatic Art of Cordoba, where he studied until the High Level. At the same time, he toured Spain as member of Ballet Zarabanda, not only as member of the dance group but also as a soloist.

After that, he was called by Esencias Andaluzas Flamenco Company. He carried out two tours during two months in Taiwan, performing two flamenco plays, "Evita", based in Eva Peron's biography where he starred as Che Guevara and "Bodas de Sangre", where he starred the bride's father.

At 21 years old, he moved to Seville, where he started regular lessons with Alejandro Granados, Javier Cruz, Manuel Betanzos, Vicente Fernandez and specialized courses with Mercedes Ruiz.

Within the last 7 years he has performed as soloist in different venues in Seville. He currently collaborates in Oscar Guzman's flamenco group.

 

DANILA 'LA BAMBINA'

Flamenco Dancer

 

Danila 'La Bambina' was introduced into the world of Flamenco by Jerez dancer Maria Jose Soto. She then took several courses with different teachers as Juan Ogalla and the coreographer Elena Vicini.

She has received lessons from great teachers and first dancers of flamenco as Manolo Marin, Milagros Menjibar, Rafael Campallo or Manuel Betanzos among others, not to mention the three levels she achieved in only two years in Cristina Heeren Flamenco Art Foundation.

There she obtained her degree in June 2004, after lessons of theory, technique, coreography and history of flamenco. Her studies also included lessons with Milagros Menjibar, Carmen Ledesma, Adela Campallo, Rafael Campallo, La Choni, etc.

She then returned to the flamenco school in Rodrigo de Triana, which had belonged to Manolo Marin but was then being transfered to Manolo Betanzos, who has been his teacher since then. She has also received lessons from Soraya Clavijo or Angel Atienza and she has attended courses with Manuela Rios, Carmen Hiniesta, Adela Campallo, Andres Pena and Pilar Ogalla.

As a flamenco dancer, Danila 'La Bambina' has been part of director and coreographer Javier Leyton's "Casiopea", where she shared stage with first dancer Silvia de Paz. She performed in Tarrega International Festival in September 2005 and she is still touring different Spanish cities.

In addition to her performing side, Danila teaches dance in Seville. She currently works as a dance teacher for Seville's Town Hall Old District and for Seville Dance Center Academy.

 

DANI DE UTRERA

Flamenco Singer

 

In 1999 he was member of 'Dutrera' group (Palma de Mallorca), Fernando Estrella (dance), Dani de Utrera (singer) and Vicente Peña (guitar).

In 2001 he performed in 'Funny Beach' (Marbella Flamenco Festival) and in 'Cocó la Nuit' (Palma de Mallorca), Dani de Utrera (singer) and Carlos Flamencólico (guitar),

In 2002 he performed in Metropol Hall (Málaga) for the presentation of 'By the face' magazine and in 2003 he collaborated with the program Veo Veo 2003 (Estepona).

During 2004 and 2005 he participated in 'Mejor que Peor'concerts (Palma de Mallorca) and in '8 y medio'Hall (Gran Vía, Madrid) where he performed the version of 'Keops' from 'Peor Imposible', a CD which is in the market.

He also performed in Utrera Fair in 2005 (Andalucista stand) together with Luis de Maribel (dance), Dani de Utrera (singer) and Antonio (guitar). He sang in Meteora Hall (Seville) with Eli de Utrera (singer) and Alexander Gavilán (guitar) and in the contest of the Federación de Peñas Flamencas of Seville.

During 2006 he carried out performances in Vivero Hall, Flamenco Festival (Malaga), the Andalucista stand in Utrera Fair, in 'Chiqui de Jerez' dance academy, the Zambomba in Granada and 'Lunares' group in Ayamonte.

In 2007 he collaborated with Danila'La Bambina' show in Arrayan Hall (Seville).

 

ALEJANDRO VAZQUEZ
Flamenco Guitarist

 

He obtained his degree in Fundación de Arte Flamenco Cristina Heeren. He then continued as a guitar teacher in the same Fundación. He has also attended several courses with Juan Carlos Romero, Niño de Pura and Miguel Angel Cortés.

He has worked accompanying several flamenco artists as Isabel Luna, Carlos Heredia, etc. He has also collaborated in other flamenco groups as ALPANA.

He has carriedo out non-profit concerts for Misión Claretiana NGO. He participated in the F.E.C.A.B with Rafael Hernández cattle.

He currently collaborates with Oscar Guzmán's group, with whom he has toured Italy, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Macedonia, Iran, etc.

 

JOAN SARDANS

Violinist

 

Joan Sardans was official student of the Professional Conservatory of Manresa.

He has studied with Eva Graubin, Horacio Fumero, Cesar Moreno, etc. He obtained the violin teacher degree in the Conservatori Superior de Música of Barcelona and he has studied a graduate degree in jazz violin at the Royal Conservatory of Rotterdam.

He has also participated in courses as the Curs Europeu de Música de Cambra-Stage 94, with the Bartok string quartet (as violin of the Puig-Joliu quartet) and the Curs Europeu de Música de Cambra-Stage 96, with the Endelion string quartet (as viola of the Rabeauman quartet).

As professional experience, he has been member of the Cambra de Granollers orchestra, and also member of the Gipsy Swing Bourbon Street Band, carrying out concerts around Catalunya with both bands.


He has also carried out concerts and performances as violinist and violist in several classical ensembles (string quartets, orchestras, soloists, etc).

He has carried out multiple performances with flamenco dancers, singers and guitarrists and he has been working as a violin teacher since 1999 in Jam Session school of music in Barcelona.

 

PABLO NUÑEZ

Percussionist

 

He has worked accompanying several flamenco artists as Isabel Luna, etc. He has also collaborated in other flamenco groups as ALPANA.

He has carriedo out non-profit concerts for Misión Claretiana NGO. He participated in the F.E.C.A.B with Rafael Hernández cattle.

He currently collaborates with Oscar Guzmán's group, with whom he has toured Italy, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Iran, etc.
